Both are pretty good avrs while pioneer is known to be loaded for features denon is a well regarded one in performance... Have you decided on the speakers ? First decide on speakers later choose the AVR which can drive the speakers well..

some forum mention dont buy a box packed speaker set.but i dont know much about speakers.so,i can plan 2 buy definitive tech pro cinema1000.

608 heat issue is a rumour ,i don't know who started it but it has been spread in our forum like a forest fire.if it produces that much heat then we can save our gas bill by putting omblet, dosa, chappathi and cook on it,worlds first 2in1 avr.lol just for fun....

Who told you that ? I have a 608 and even after hours of usage I never felt it is hot or any heat on top of the AVR unit...

Well old Onkyo AVR had heat issues(say 705).Do use use AC too?
I have kept my AVR on open shelf & I find minimal Heat since I kept out from wall unit.

Well its common that hi powered eletronics need some ventilation and breathing space... So I made the unit with 4 inch gap after placing the 608.. No AC and no FAN .....

i have left my onkyo 706 topless:licklips:,i mean i put it in top surface of the av stand , i dont find anything odd....

Same Question... Which would go well with Q-Acoustics 2000 series cinema package?? the Pioneer 1020 or Denon 1911??

I own a Pioneer.

Denon would be more on the warmer side. Pioneers, at least the starting ones, are on the brighter side. I prefer this 'brightness' for the movies, hence went for them. Yes, there was a 4 k price difference between the Pio and Denon. But, that did not play a major part in decision making.

You can't take an informed decision by looking only at the AVR. You need to 'hear' the combinations possible. It is true a brighter AVR would give a different sound signature the moment you latch it up with a warmer speaker. It is the sound signature that is to be 'noted' for all combinations. This is something which only YOU can decide.

Yes ..... a lotta legwork and patience involved.

where did u get that?price & waranty deatails plz...

all 3 have cons
pionee1020-no audio return,useless remote
onkyo608-heat issue
denon1911-less connectivity
i know it.but above 3's are best 3d reciever in mid range.i want 2 know which one 2 choose?plz compare side by side

I would also take a look at Marantz 1601 along with the above 3. I have found it better than the above in many areas.

Do not be fooled by the power specs of 50W per ch. Marantz 50W will have more power than many AVRs with much higher specs.
