DIY Home setup - help

Hi everybody

I would like to build an amplifier and speaker system. This is for an entry to the DIY field

Requirements

1. Building an integrated/pre-amp power amp with two channels and a pre - out [ For connecting to a sub woofer] which is transistor based Class A or AB.

2. A speaker system (bookshelf with 5 inch midrange/full and tweeter) which suits a room geometry of 12 X 14 feet. (20 to 50 watts expected)

3. Buy a sub-woofer of 25 - 70 watts ( If not available make one)


My doubts are here

1. Is there any circuits available which is suited to my amp requirements?

2. Amplifiers cost starts from 25000/- to lakhs. Can we do a DIV of these systems? What will be the price (avoiding the top quality of the branded ones)

3. How sterio is handled in amplifiers?
4. How the frequencies are filtered in home theatre surround sound?

Kindly requested to clear my doubts. Also requested to provide help me for making a system. Pls give me an approximate cost if it is done
