Hi Members,

I need your suggestions on interconnect cables.
i had bought Chord cables in 2008 .in the course of time I have changed my amplifiers and loudspeakers, but not these cables.
do you think that these have a shelf life or is susceptible to performance degradation over a period of time?

Or is there some kind of maintainance or care that the cables need?

My system sounds decent, but I have heard them sound much better

look Forward to your inputs

As mentioned above, the cables dont degrade over time.
You can just wipe the connectors if they are dirty or oxidised.

If they are well terminated and you see no oxidation, they are fine.

Well unless you want to explore other cables/flavours in your system, you could then think of changing.

Usually if cables are connected to system all the time, then they would sound as earlier.
Even if you see connector is getting oxidised, actual contact points inside may be clean (+very/-ve).
Finally if its sounding same as earlier, then no need to change.
