Drill Guide

?
The purpose of this guide seems only for making precision holes ( something from 30 to 90 degree against a surface) .For Speaker building, I do not see the much need of this tools, unless if you can be specific on what is to be done.

I'm using 18 mm MDF, I found that if I get the hole is not straight it creates two types of problems. First, at the joints it tends to crack / weaken the MDF. Second to mount the driver & the back panels, am using bolts with t-nuts, for this even if the alignment is off by 1 mm, it becomes difficult to screw the bolt.

Hence, I waste a lot of time & effort trying to make sure my drill is straight & ensuring the vibration does not move the drill. Having a simple drill guide will significantly speed up my work.

I've never had a drill that did! Anyway, you'd need another one to make sure that the wood you are drilling into was also level --- Although, of course, every house should have at least one, especially if they have a turntable. Or even a washing machine!

I'm not great at DIY, especially woodwork, but the ability to hold a drill straight and true comes with some practice. They eye is fairly good at judging parallel or 90 degrees, it is in-between angles that are not so easy. The only time I find getting it right a little hair-raising would be drilling into the edge of a sheet of timber, where a slip might spoil the whole board.

It's easier than soldering! :o

I realized one may need this tools if they are infrequent to usage of these tools.
I never had a problem.

On other note
