Dubai dsf offers 2014 - Denon avr+speakers @17K!

Hi,

I am planning to get a HT or AV + speakers from dubai.

I am getting the following offers. As i am a complete newbie any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. Denon avr500+denon sys 5.1 speakers =17000/-
2. Onkyo SR 313 + whaferfdale vardus 5.1 = 27000/- (too heavy and big)
3. Yamaha 375+ polk tl1600= 32000/-
4. yamaha 375 = 21000/-

My use:-
Not much except weekend movies..neither a movie buff or music buff...
looking for a value for money option..Interested in denon, but saw reliability issues in amazon reviews...

Hi Anoopkjoy,

Please also factor in the cost of shipping and duties and see if it works out then with prices in India.

If it is really close, I mean say only about 2000-3000 rupees difference, then better to buy in India as you will get the 1 year warranty.

Shipping is free as my brother in law will be bringing it.

Duties I was thinking that they have 35k baggage allowance.

Or will it be considered as like TVs , where the baggage allowance is not counted?

I have finally almost decided to plunge for the onkyo+wharfadale vardus option at 1699 Dhs..It is around 28000/- (plus some watch+tab free)..

any last minute suggestions would be mossssttttt welcome!!
