Hi all..

First sorry for posting DVD player question in CD Player. This is because I use my DVD player as audio source for playing CD and MP3 CD.

I have a Sony DVD Player - DVP NS57P. A regular mass market player with following AUDIO specs in Sony website:

Audio DAC 192kHz/16bit
DTS Yes
Digital Output (Linear PCM) 96kHz/24bit
TV Virtual Surround (TVS) Yes

Uptill now, I was using 48kHz/16bit, but then i discovered I could change it to 96kHz/24bit from settings. I'm using RCA out at the mo and not Digital Out.

Is this 96kHz/24bit only for digital out or for RCA as well ?
My ears not good enuf to differentiate, may be there is no difference at all for RCA.

What is best audio setting for this DVDP for playing mp3 cd thru RCA out?

I get following setting options for audio:

AUDIO DRC: STANDARD/TV MODE/WIDE RANGE (Currently Standard)
DOWNMIX: Dolby Sorround / Normal
DIGITAL OUT: ON/OFF (currently ON)
DOLBY DIGITAL: D-PCM/DOLBY DIGITAL (currently DOLBY SORROUND)
MPEG : PCM/MPEG (currently PCM)
DTS : ON/OFF (currently OFF)
48 kHz/96 kHz PCM: 48kHz/16 bit or 96kHz/24bit (currently 48kHz/16 bit)
