I would like to know of any devices available in India which can allow me to connect audio from a HDMI source to my old HTIB which accepts only RCA jack inputs (5.1). My HTIB does not have SPDIF/Toslink input to connect digital 5.1 sound source.
Essentially I want to hook up devices like my HD STB and PS3 to my HTIB and apparently this is the only way i.e extract audio from HDMI and convert it into 5.1 LPCM and connect to HTIB over RCA.
There seems to be a product which does this... but it does not seem to be available in India... pl check out the url below.
