Cairo is a romantic place (some parts of it) to listen to old hindi music.
The biggest problem you would run into is not the right choice of equipment, but poor recordings when it comes to old hindi music. The new film music is also coloured a lot (treble is too much, if my details are right, especially the AR Rehman ones).
Before buying, take some of your old hindi film music CDs and listen, to ensure that the equipment treats your recordings with tender touch.
To add to what Ramanujam has said, I also believe that somehow the gain on the Hindi recordings is set higher. This helps if you have a lower sensitivity system but overall too much of it can get tiring.
I have the Rethm Saadhanas with sensitivity of 100db and Hindi songs sound great on the Rethms. The old songs sound even better. Since i listen to a lot of old hindi film songs, whenever i am checking a new piece of equipment, i use old film songs for audition.
The Omega Super 6 speakers are nice. Unfortunately there are no dealers for the Omega speakers in India. Since Taurean is from Cairo maybe someone there carries them or else he can write to Omega. I personally think they do a lot of things right. Shaizada on this forum uses them but he uses a higher end model.
I have personally not heard the Audire or the Lyrita single drivers but he can check them out.
IME single drivers sound better with Indian music as compared to conventional dynamic speakers.

You have quite a lot of options here. Go for conventional speakers with simpler crossovers like EPOS or go for Lyrita or Audire single driver speakers. All of those options are well shy of the monetary mark that you have mentioned.
