Wow, this is great to know! Phish has always been known to share their music freely with their fans. For example, they have always allowed their fans to record and redistribute their live performances. Earlier, when Phish was touring, you could send an empty tape and return postage to a "phish-head", and they would record a live show and send it back to you.

You can probably tell by now that I am a Phish phan

there are tons of dead sites (e.g. dead.net) that legally freely distribute their live shows. same case with phish and lots of other bands. mostly jam bands.

I dont like dead studio albums much, their live shows are much much better.

check out archive.org. tons and tons of live shows from a lots of bands. all legal.
