Front Speaker Suggestion - Yamaha YHT-299

Hi

I've got a Yamaha YHT-299 system.

Recently my wife got a Bose Soundtouch 10 speaker. The clarity of that small speaker was way better than what comes from the speakers of my system.

So, I'm thinking of upgrading my both front speakers to get a better sound experience. The ratio of music will be greater than movies.

I'm no audiophile so till now my benchmark is the Bose Soundtouch 10 speaker.

Please suggest some good speakers within a budget of 15-20k.

Boston acoustics a25 or a26, wharfedale diamond 220, mission lx or mx series, etc. You can look in hifimart

Boston a26 are best in that range or go for wharfedale diamond 220 i think its 19k, BUT BUT BUT do see whether ur receiver can power them well, i hd yamaha yht 199 and it hs weak receiver i think yht 299 hs same receiver

Thanks for your response. I'm not exactly sure about the power of my AVR. The specs mention 70W, 6ohms at 20hz-20kHz 2ch driven.
BA26 are rated at 8 ohms, 10-150W, crossover 2.4kHz whereas MX2 is rated at 6ohms, 100W, crossover 2.8kHz.

It would be great if you could guide me future.

The receiver in yht299 is htr 3066, not the same as yht196. I have HTR 3067 and it drives polk signature s15 just fine. It should not have any problems with boston a26 or mission mx 2

Hi..
I went for the Mission LX2. They sound great with my existing Yamaha receiver.
Been listening to them for past few days.

Now tempted to upgrade th center speaker too.hyeah:

Bostan, Mission,Taga,Moral speakars can be audition in MZ Audio, Mumbai.
Wharfdale at Hi-fi Mart, Mumbai.
