I am looking for some good ghazals with minimal accompanying/ background music. Most the of old ones that I have are with very loud harmonium and the new ones have repeated percussion that actually hits on my head.

Any suggestions for some good ghazals with very little accompanying music ?

1. Zulmat kade main mere shab e gham - Jagjit Singh
2. Pareshan raat saari hai - Chitra Singh

If one really wants to listen good ghazals with melody with no jarring percussion, I suggest going for Talat and Begum Akhtar Ghazals. It doesn't get better than those.
O.P. Nayyar also composed a ghazal album with Penaz which you may like. Some work of artists like Chhaya Ganguly and some of the Pakistani artists should also probably suit your requirements. 80s saw an overdose of jhankaar and over instrumentation. The best music is from an older time if one loves less instrumentation and more feeling
