Got into Vintage HiFi and Enjoying it

Hello all ,

Thanks to all the senior members - all your posts made me bite the bullet . Ours have been a Sony Family - dads got all Tv- Amp - sub - All Sony . And I used to think this was the end of it all .

Then came HiFiVision . Thanks to all you guys that I took a plunge and started roaming around in Richie street and Moore Market to get hold of these and finally started enjoying them .

It was a roller coaster ride - that too with the turntable as setting it up is a task and you need to learn a little bit about it all . But end of it all it was just Bliss .

Wow.. Sansui Set-up Congrats.. For Me Riche street\Moore is the Weekend Spot when i was in Chennai.

Just would be there to know about eh Vintage stuffs and how they are maintained for years.

Please share the Model Number of the amp,Speaker and your experience with them.How they sound with new Music.What is the source you are using,Other the TT.

The amp is Au-x117 , speakers sp-55a 40 watts and cosmic cogram 4000 .

The sources that I use is this turntable - Tv - and the iPhone .

The horn tweeters are beautiful - used to be a bass head - these things changed my idea of music . Very nice to listen to and watching movies in stereo is also very nice . Obviously a 5.1 is different . But this one is pretty good .

Learnt online reviews and hearsay are just good for reference . Your ears are your biggest reviewer .

So before buying any gear spend some time with it and go ahead .

Hi yogibear.. The grills are removable . Have put them up after all cleaning and all . Will try removing them this weekend and put up the pics . Thanks .
