Hi,

I am setting up my new home theatre. To start with I have already got Pioneer 1123K and since I mostly watch movies made up mind to have a 2.1 set-up to start with. With my budget went for the TSX330T polk floor standers. I am not sure if there is an advantage if I bi-amp the speakers. Any expert advice on this ???? Is there any real advantage ....

Now listening to the set-up; I feel I need a subwoofer to go with it. I love boom booms in movies :ohyeah: But with the budget left don't want to spend more. Not sure if sticking to Polk is a good idea. But was kind of thinking to go for PSW110/PSW125. Any idea what would be the best price for them???

Any expert advice which sub will be a great VFM to suit my budget and what will be the best place (offers best price ;)) to buy it in Bangalore.

BR,
Binay

At your budget, I don't think its possible to get a better sub woofer than the Roarr series made by Sonodyne. Sub woofers that I have heard, at this price point, made by JBL, Polk audio, Yamaha are below average when it comes to performance.

When you play a video, are you getting the low frequency logo displayed just below the speaker channel logos? In order to get a dedicated sub woofer to work with movies, its important you have the 6 channel audio track else its pointless to invest in a sub woofer.

It is very difficult for getting a better subwoofer for your price.
Why can't you search for the used ones?

I've used earlier PSW125 and it was good for movies. Wharfedale's entry level was also good, on par with polk.

Audition is the best way especially subs under 20k.

Wharfedale Linton Heritage Speakers in Red Mahogany finish at a Special Offer Price. BUY now before the price increase.
