Dear Friends,

I have a LG 30 series 42" LCD TV which is 4 years old. I have a Tatasky+HD service of which I have a Annual Mega combo pack. I have been ardently following the ongoing Olympics sometimes staying up late at night. I also have a 2KVA Servo stabiliser by Maxine through which I am playing my equipment.

I am getting Olympic coverage on 4 channels namely, DD sports, STAR sports, ESPN and ESPN HD. I am also satisfied with the other sports channels.

Since Yesterday, I notice a green border around the Star Sports screen. This is a SD channel being played back on HD TV. Al the other channels, including the sports, Movie and news channels don't have this problem.

This is not there on my 4:3 29" Philips TV while viewing the same channel. As it does not seem to be a problem with the HD TV, I was wondering why I am getting this green border. If it was inserted by the Star sports company, others should be having the same problem.

I wonder why this is not there on my 29 inch TV. I also wonder why no other channels on my HD tv have this problem.

I welcome other forum members to share similar experiences if any.

Does anyone have a valid reason for this to crop up in only 1 channel?

Yours,

Dear friends,

I just found out that the green border is present only some of the time. When I switched on my TV at 10 pm, the green border was not there. It seemed to have ben covered/masked by a black border instead..It used to occupy about 1cm on the edge of the TV screen. And black is not so noticable.

It must be due to the Star Sports operators, I think...

I noticed that too, but on Hathway HD connection. So it looks like a issue at the Star Sports broadcast end and not related to our setups. :)
