Here’s a little known fact about LC: way back in the late 90s, Cohen spent 6 months in B’bay staying at a nondescript hotel in Kemps Corner! He was there to spend time with his spiritual guru Ramesh Balsekar, the erstwhile MD of Bank of India.
A friend of mine, who was also a student of Balsekar, got to hang out with him often. Understandably, Cohen was not interested in getting overrun by fans, so we never got to meet him
