Just a quick info, seems LG is gonna release their 2016 models in few weeks or in a months time. Most of the multi brand retailers told that the same and even advised me to postpone the decision for a month's time. Though I bought Sony 40 inch LED 2016 model, becoz it's the best package without smart and 3D, LG seems to cover the smart and 3D feature too with LF6500 and provide relatively similar picture quality. Though the demo Blue Ray content (bahubali) seems to slow very low refresh rate (partly due to heavy content). Quality and service wise, LG is good. However, buying 2015 model when 2016 model along with webos3.0 is nearby, seems to be choice which needs further evaluation. You can however, can bargain for a better price for 2015 models
