I am Asif Qureshi (33 y/o) from Navi Mumbai looking for an upgrade to my cheap pc speakers as now I finally have some disposable income from a couple of years of savings.

As for my musical taste, I am very much into the best of 80s/90s music (smiths, stone roses, prince, new order, genesis, nine inch nails, etc.)

But before splurging my hard-earned money, I am wanting to at least once listen to the best of the speaker brands that get discussed around here instead of just going by the reviews.

Do we have any exhibition events in Mumbai (or any major city) similar to Headphone-Connect (by headphonezone.in) but dedicated for speakers?

Or any members here known to throw parties to exhibit their high-end speakers?

Make sure to visit the countless posts which is based on direct experience, technical knowledge and honest feedback.

Investing into an entry level system and building up slowly to a better system is the route most take. If you are more into music then a stereo system with integrated amplifier & decent speakers (Bookshelf / Floor Standing) depending on budget / space available should be considered.

If you want to also enjoy a 5.1 surround or 7.1 Atmos effects for movies / web series then you need a decent AVR (again depends on how much large is the listening area / budget).

For starters, besides reading reviews and seeing end users upload experience videos on YouTube, you can also visit the many dealers and demo / audition the various systems / brands available to get some idea (if you are not sure). This will help you then to shortlist certain brands and models which appeal to your listening preferences and of course the wallet!
