I am planning to upgrade my HT,
Currently I have Sony receiver running Bose Acustoimass 10 series. Which I bought in USA about 10 years back.
My room size 12x10, 75% movies and 25% music,
I like to upgrade my speakers also after 4-5 years, how ever I think receaver upgrade is critical now, as old receiver dont have HDMI, cant decode DTS HD etc.
I started with budget of 45-50k, with ONKYO , how ever read bad reviews about onkyo 2013 models, so based on what HI-FI magazine review I am narrowing down to Yamaha,
Now I seek expert advice.
Which receaver to choose , yamaha or Marantz for my speakers and listening preferences. If yamaha is the AVENTAGE series (Rx720/820) is worth that extra money.
Please suggest, and I also open for other brands.
