Hi All,
I had bought Denon AVR 1611 one month back and connected with Wharfedale 9.5 front speakers and Xtreamer sidewinder v2.7. Xtreamer was connected to TV (Samsung LCD HD) through HDMI port. Initially all was well until after 15 min video signal output stopped suddenly. Now Samsung shows the message "no signal found". Double checked the connections. HDMI connection through denon is recognized on denon display and i am able to get the sound output through denon. If I connect my xtreamer directly to TV it is playing well through the same cables. have reset the microprocessors already, switched off and taken off the cables, restarted, still no video.
Plz help.
Thanks in advance

Hello!
Understanding Denon manuals is very difficult. Check this out it might of help to you now and in future too.BATPIG'S DENON-TO-ENGLISH DICTIONARY

@baijuxavior & dlkanth
Yes i have tried all the permutations and combinations. Still no video. Denon was connected to BD input when this happened.

Digging out a very old thread.
I have a Denon AVR 1611. Since yesterday, I am facing this problem.
The receiver switches on normally, everything seems to work normally but no audio & video output.
I tried switching the input through different HDMI ports, even tried analogue audio input.
But no sound and video output.
I then reset the processor as explained in the user manual but even that did not help.
Do I need to take it to a service center?
In the meanwhile I will open up the top cover and clean the dust and just check whether any wire or connector has gotten loose.

Did the processor reset but it did not help.
Finally sent the AVR to service center.

The service center guys informed that the HDMI card has gone kaput:sad:. New card will cost 15-20K and new card may even not be available with them.
There is no point in spending so much for repairs.
So what do you suggest whether repair is possible (anywhere in Mumbai) ?

@anuragn: I had a similar issue - though not as bad. My HDMI card was having some issues. I compromised on the video quality and used component video inputs and kept using the same amp - mine was a Denon AVR 1902.

@ravirmenon: My avr is not outputting any audio/video. Though it is called HDMI card, but actually it seems that the "card" (PCB in technical terms) actually handles processing of all input signals, both analogue as well as digital.

@All Audio DIY gurus:
I found this HDMI card selling on this site:
CIRCUIT BOARD - DENON - HDMI AVR-1611 - All Denon Audio and DJ Spare Parts
Has anyone ordered from this site, is it reliable?

Thats expensive! how many HDMI inputs you have on TV, until HDMI is fixed use your receiver to process audio signals alone. Curious to know from where you got this quote.

The dealer from whom I purchased it has given this "quote".
Actually, the service center did not give any quote at all, they just said that since this is an old model so they don't have the spares in stock. But the dealer said that a similar card, if available would usually cost in that range.
