The designers of this forum haven't kept anyone out.
The general population has very little exposure to good sound. Most of them don't even know or care about "good sound". You tell them Sony is the best sound they'll believe it, you tell them Onkyo is the best sound, they'll believe it. The Indian consumer is obsessed about brand.
You show them a sony with glossy drivers and pastic body beside a lyrita wooden harmony 1 with fostex, they'll pick the sony.
The only real female audiophile I've met in my life is my own mother herself. The menfolk in my family would all rather take sony. She on the other hand prefers a sealed 6.5" full range driver connected to a push pull tube amplifier. The menfolk in the family think she's crazy. Lucky for her I turned out to be an audiophile without trying to be
As for most other people who don't know what good sound is. I truly, truly feel bad for them. They will never know how..tactile..sensational...hair raising..good sound can be.
I would like to say about my wife too, after building my speakers and after i have completed all adjustments to the enclosure and cross-over i will always ask my wife to audition my speakers. If she tells its great only then i will stop any modifications. She has learnt classical music for 12 years and knows better than me what good sonics is all about. I dont think my father or cousins brothers have that kind of knowledge about SQ.
