Hi,

I have a laptop from work which have a 3.5mm out (source1); a bluetooth receiver (source2) which has 3.5mm out & rca out; a small 2.1 speaker set which has rca in.

I want to mix the output from laptop and the bluetooth receiver to the speaker.
Why? to listen to music from phone connected to the bluetooth adapter and to also have the work laptop audio simultaneously. The work laptop does not have access to external sites like youtube music etc, or to usb pendrives.

Idea1:
Can it be done using 3.5mm headphone splitter cable like this? by:
--connecting the male connector to bluetooth receiver (source1)
--connecting the 1st female connector to the laptop (source2) using male to male 3.5mm cable in between.
--connecting the 2nd female connector to the speaker rca in using 3.5mm male to stereo rca cable in between.

Idea2:
This thought is very weird & wild. The bluetooth adapter has 3.5mm out and rca out also. Both of them output the same audio from the connected bluetooth source, so I think the 3.5mm out and rca out are connected with each other in someway. So If I connect the laptop 3.5mm out to this bluetooth adapter 3.5mm, will the audio of laptop & bluetooth source be mixed/merged and out from the rca out of the adapter?

Pls share your ideas..
Thanks
