How we hear music: frm a Deaf person

"from a deaf person..."

True, but a fraction of the picture. She is not only deaf (and really, really deaf) but also a musician. She is not only a musician, she is a very successful orchestral percussionist.

All that makes her one of the most inspiring people in the world. The fact that she can communicate it, too, makes watching the video in your link an absolute must!

Seen it, a couple of times ... thanks for the reminder.

what was impressive was not just the skill , as thad points out, her Articulation skills are also great. But it is the knowledge she has on how Hearing changes from person to person as well as how Acoustics can influence sound.

More interestingly ,her view seems to be that Musicians playing the music hear a different sound when compared to the audience..hence using musicians as a reference for equipment may not be a good idea !
