Anyone here a fan of Indie folk, Folk, Alternative Country? I've recently started listening to some of the following artists and am really enjoying them:

Thanks for the recommendation. While this is exactly the kind of music I want, the singer's voice is not working for me. Too nasal and thin. However, thanks again and let me know if you know of any more.

I normally don't listen to folksy stuff, but an indie artist that I recently discovered through a friend, and immensely liked was Bon Iver. He spent 3 months of winter in a log cabin in Canada and came up with the album: For Emma, Forever Ago

My only exposure to Folk music has been Nick Drake. Pink Moon is one of my all time favourite albums. Brilliant.

Hey, no problem!

Not exactly indie, but Iron & Wine is really good as well. Again recommended by a friend. While this is not indie (or I don't know if it is), this is a solo act by Samuel Beam.

@ Arun - Thanks again. Excellent video. Lady Gaga can learn a thing or two from that. I cannot tell if it is Indie either. I think the emphasis is on Folk-sy music though Indie is any day better than the mainstream stuff IMO.

I'm just experimenting with new music. I get my daily dose of metal at work! At home however, I prefer to do some easier listening and folk music and Gregorian chants are my new favorites. Involving and relaxing music.
