Good One..Interesting read..
People who run their consultancy,actually feed on cable business by fooling customers and telling them blah blah like any modern day baba.
any one who can browse the internet should know the simple math and science of electricity.If you are attaching a connector to your speaker cable means you are attaching a one more resistive material to signal path and thereby reducing the current capabilities.So whatever $$$$ connector you have, it is not going to compete with bare wire terminals. However we are not at such liberty with interconnects.
But whoever has brought the IDEA of balanced connections(XLR) should be applauded and this type of connection should be introduced in speakers also by giving one more power connection to the speaker.It is there with the some of the active speakers now but should be introduced with passive too(I dont know how it can be done). This way all snake oil will be out of business.
