Iam Planning to release a Vinyl gramophone record by SONY DADC commemorating Janaki Amma 60 years of Film Music in Tamil. The selected songs with various co singers are :
1. Unnidathil ennai koduthean - solo
2. Vinnalum sundara roopam with Ghantasala
3. Podhigai malai uchiyile with P B Sreenivos
4. Ulagam alagu kalai with T M Sounderarajan
5. Sollathaan ninaikirean with M S Viswanathan
6. Thean sindhuthe vaanam with S P Balasubramaniyum
7. Aadivarum por paavai adi with seerkali S Govindarajan
8. Netru nadanthathu with A L Raghavan
9. Koondalile nei thadavi with K J Yesudoss
10. O ho endhan baby with A M Raja
11. Aasai machaan with S C krishnan
12. Padikka padikka with T R Mahalingam
13. Anbaale thediya en with C S Jayaraman '
14. Ullam thedathe endru with K R Ramasamy
15. Kannukku nere with P B Sreenivos ( first released song from magadalanaattu mary

Since the minimum order would be around 300 LP , like to plan if with no profit motive to usher in LP for regional languages too. If anyone has masters for the any titles we can plan or will have to take soundtracks from Motion picture and remaster.
 
Excellent! Tempting! I am 'in' for a copy. But, pressing more than 5 songs on a side, there will not be good bass and depth in the music. In MFP LPs, they have more than 6 songs on a side and the sound quality is below average than CD. Wish you all the best. Thank you.

Yes the Lp has to be Mono. Sony is ready to go for 200 Lp for trade purpose for which we will have to reach atleast 150 Lp.

These titles are really good. I thought of compiling her solo and duets with various artistes , checking with sony if we could have Motion picture soundtracks for certain songs like : unnidathil ennai koduthean, O ho endhan baby, sollathaan ninaikirean , ulagam alagu kalaikalin, podhigai malai uchiyile so we get the unedited full version of the songs.

Eagerly awaiting the finalised list of songs. Even , we could make it as 'double disc' album. So much of beautiful songs she has sung in the 60's 70's Golden era. Please try to add 'Cinnanchiriya Vannapparavai Ennathai Solluthamma' - TMS, Janaki from the film: Kungumam. Thanks.

How could we miss " singara velane deva" . Also the compilations reflecting the moods will be a great one in LP instead of mixing all in one LP.
 
I am interested.A compilation as a set of 2 LPs would be nice.It is possible to include many songs.
