Lenco L75 Pic of the Day

Hes got a special bearing done with a really long spindle and hence able to put a platter of almost triple platter height !

Rajiv, the problem here is the Spindle..if you can get a good one made this is not that difficult. the plinth is straight forward. for the platter you can buy any acrylic platter and mount it over the current platter OR buy another Lenco Platter. the motor/idler can take much higher weights than the standard ones..
some inspirations below :

Hi Arj,

Thanks for the links.

The guys in the Phillipines build some really great stuff. Their woodworking skills are superb.

Very well made bearings are available from Jeremy, like this one designed for PTP (Peter's Top Plate). I think it is available for the stock Lenco top plate also:

Very costly, though, but nothing less than artisanal in workmanship.

Rajiv,
there are 2 othe options for Spindle extensions
Design Build Listen Ltd
http://www.lencoheaven.net/forum/index.php?topic=8339.0 (expensive at 45 Eu + shipping)
Anone with access to a Precision Machine shop should be able to build an extension tube at 1/3 the price am sure !

Apparently the regular Lenco spindle can take upto 15 KGs !! (has been tested for 1 year).

Wonder how difficult it would be to put a thick Acrylic platter over this ?? i am not sure we can buy lenco platters (only) in india..
