Hi everyone,
I am a newbie to this site. I am from Bangalore, India. I donno if this is the right place to ask this question, did not find how to go to sub forums directly.. just let me know if this is not the correct place..

K, now what I am looking for is good quality headphone ( over the ear type), my budget is some below Rs 3500, if i find something good, I can go to Rs 4000 also... not looking for expensive ones at this point, will get best ones in a couple of years..

My usage is normal usually, music, games.. Sometimes I just want to get immersed in the music.. so quality matters in those certain moments.. I was searching CNET website and found Audio-Technica headphones looking good along with the reviews.. tht is ofcourse website review, I wanted inputs from you people as you are the experts... Please let me know some good alternatives or other better options if available..

Thanks

thanks for replying. I saw the pristinenote site, very good site, I have selected two models from audio technica from tht list.. but did not find similar model in Sennheiser model. One model is a bit over my budget range.. i don't know if it is worth it or not..

So, after shortlisting, this are my options:
Audio-Technica ATH-M35, Audio Technica ATH-AD300, Sennheiser RS 110 Over-the-ear Headphone..

Which one will have more sound quality? is there any other model from Sennheiser in this range?

thanks

For your purpose i would suggest Sennheiser HD205 or Sennheiser HD 202. Both are very good for listening to music. It has a balanced Hi and mid frequency and good bass.

HD205 would cost around 2.8K (i am using this for the last 2 yrs and i am extremely happy with this)
HD202 would cost around 1.7K

In Audio Technica i have heard that ATHM40FS is a good model for the price. However i havent demod this one.

it will cross my budget.. like i said I wish to reach 4k limit only when quality is there appropriate for that range.

I even saw some headphone models from skullcandy ( skullcrusher series ), anyone here has any view on that?

I don't want extra bass effect, as I have my laptop for that.. .. I just want complete immersive music experience.. that is my target.

Hi,
I saw many reviews on youtube... I have reached two options at last:

Audio Technica ATH-AD300 vs Skullcandy Skullcrusher Lurker S6SKDY-129

I had checked out Sennheiser RS 110 also, but there are few things which are not very clear about it.. so, I am not gonna invest on something over my budget just like tht..
I would have liked to have Audio Technica ATH-AD700, as I saw many reviews about it.. don't know if AD300 series is having similar sound response or not.. skullcandy can be a bit extra on bass side, but review mention it to be clear..

so, what do you guys say. which of the two looks a better option?
