Hi everybody! I'm new here and would like to ask you good people for some advice.
I've been doing quite some research on this but so far I couldn't find the answer.
I've got an old Marantz SR5200 reciever (90W per channel RMS / 8 Ohm)
and I would like to buy some nice shelf speakers to couple them with it. It used to run with Mordaunt-Short 902 and some MS Avant as well. (those speakers had 4-8 Ohm written on them)
Q Acoustics 2020i cought my eye, but I'm unsure wether it is possible to use with sr5200, since manufacturer says the speakers are 6 Ohm nominal and 4 Ohm minimal impedance...I'm afraid it could damage the reciever or the speakers.
Can anyone help me out please?
Alternatively - which speakers would you recommend?
