Marantz SR7012 protection issues

Hello

Wondering if anyone has had any luck resolving protection errors on the Marantz SR series of AVR.
First this is not a thermal protection it's the .5 second flash. The unit will turn on run for a random amount of time or sometimes fail right after boot up is complete with a loud pop from all connected speakers and power down. This happens with all connections hooked up or removed so it is not an external component causing the issue. Unfortunately Marantz does not have any major components left for these units so I'm hoping someone has had luck fixing this issue.
I just ordered a "like new" returned NR1510 off Amazon to use until I can figure this out and it had the same issue as soon as I plugged it in! This one fail after boot up everytime.
Is this a common issue with Marantz units?

Hi Jeff,

I have a Marantz SR 7011 since 2018 & till date no such issues apart from one dysfunctional HDMI video out port. Would be better to send the unit to the Marantz service center.

The impedance selector in Marantz can be accessed by pressing and holding the main unit’s ZONE SELECT and STATUS at the same time for at least 3 seconds and then scrolling through the options. It is not recommended to change the impedance of the AVR irrespective of the impedance of the speakers...
