@Malvai I do get the crowd mentality but all I am pissed off about is the band's equipment being thrashed.. The guys should have thrashed the organisers and any property that belonged to them.. Now the poor sounds guy must be taking count of all the damaged equipments..
And yes even I HATE DNA for one thing , that they brought Backstreet Boys to India under the Rock in India Banner.. Sadly no matter what there is no other event manager who's been bringing in these acts, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Aerosmith, Roger Waters, Machine Head, now Metallica.. all brought to India by DNA.. A few exceptions would be Lamb of God, textures, Amon amarth etc..
So until someone comes out with a company that handles the international acts we will have to live with this strand of DNA.. Sadly that's the fact
dude, the media reports that the equipment was trashed... and that the barricade which took them 3 days to build was broken even before the announcement was made...
now i can tell you this, as a 1st hand experience:
1. the equipment was taken off stage before the announcement...
2. the only vandalism that happened was a couple of 20Litre bisleri (empty ones) being thrown on stage
3. sevral 1ltr bisleri bottles were thrown
4. a few people made it on stage and were promptly pushed back
5. a couple of mike stands were damaged
now coming to the barricade/barrier: tell me this how can a barricade that was built over 3 days be pulled down in minutes (something stinks here)
there is a lot of exaggeration going on...
a few people did get injured while going out, that too is because there was one one solitary exit for 25,000 people... an exit that was barely the size of a regular french window...
dont believe everything that appears in print... is all i will say.
