There are technological barriers that will not allow inter-operability, mainly the conditional access system (encryption) that your box is tied to (hard wired). Even if your box uses the same make of conditional access as, say, Tata Sky (for argument's sake), your set top box will not be authorised to be used in another network, since operators "marry" their smart cards to specific set top box serial numbers.
So simplest option is to accept the loss of the cost of the set top box and other hardwares and services and move on to the lesser evil
I don't watch TV.
I was using Airtel and lwas so put off by them that now I have lost the taste for TV channels. It's now mostly music and sometimes movies of my choice for me. :yahoo:
I feel happy that I quit TV.
