Do you get monoprice cables in India ? If not, are there cables with decent build quality similar to mono price ?

A friend needs cables in different lengths (interconnects , spk cables etc..). He is not an audiophile so these needs to work and last for a while..

Any cable manufacturer if describes it is a audio grade cable means 99 % it is meant for audio, 1% may be because of duplicacy of the standard products.
and rest is SNAKE OIL..please be aware..
you may find indian manufacturer producing fine speaker cable--FINOLEX...no affiliations..

I rather expect my cables to last for life --- so I'm obviously no audiophile!

(The only ones that have let me down by falling apart were Van den Hul )

Everybody knows my favourite cable company. It's getting embarrassing to repeat ;) But one of the things that impressed me about buying from Blue Jeans was the ease of ordering, the low despatch cost from USA and quick courier delivery. I don't know how they compare with Monoprice for these factors.

I also wonder if, your friend not being an audiophile, even BJ prices might evoke a "How much?" Even though they are very cheap compared to better-known names, even to me it seems like quite a lot of money to pay for a half metre of cable!

The lengths are specified when ordering. Minimum order is 0.5m (for interconnects). I suspect that, if asked, they would probably supply shorter for that minimum price.

A member is very happy with Finolex heavy-duty mains cable (pump cable I think) for speakers, and yes, the speakers it is connected to are very expensive.

Hey Thad,

Even blue jean cables are audiophile grade for him.

He is looking for the monoprice kind of product. Good quality molded plastic connectors which are 100 percent maintenance free etc..

The ones available locally are garbage.

DAC cables seems to be good but was looking for some cheaper alternative..

I have used ordinary 15A solid core electrical copper wire as speaker wire for a Polk HT set-up some years back with a Pioneer AVR. This was the predecessor to the currently available RM6750. I do remember having been quite pleasantly surprised with the sound quality, I am sure these can be used. If you are unsure, try out a short length for the fronts.
For interconnects, Profligold is pretty good.
