I've heard the Morel at Boomarang and felt that it is special. The sound totally belies its pipsqueak of a size. I had never heard, or though possible, that a tiny bookshelf could cover the full freq range, but this one goes right down to 20Hz.
On Friday, I had gone to Boomarang to fix new bananas and spades on my "new" speaker cables (it's another story that the inner side of bananas were too small for the shotgun twist of the bi-wirable cable, and I ended up with something Gratin fixed gratis - great gentleman). I got talking with Gratin and he showed me what he had in stock. That's when I saw the Be-718 of which I'd heard so much about but never auditioned. I didn't want to bother him with an audition since I had not gone for that purpose. So my question was of an academic nature. I am not buying new speakers anytime soon

My Cadence Amayas had been massaged at the factory in Pune a few months ago and they sing rather well:lol:, especially with the new speaker cables and IC.
For those who might be interested, he also had a KT-88 tube based Cayin integrated, a very fancy Yamaha integrated (A1000 or AS1000), and an even fancier Esoteric CD spinner.
