MTV officially shuts down music channel

V sad. A lot of us have been listening to MTV since very long. In the eighties we were yong and music was the life. Ceramic tts, cassettes, MW/SW radios and an occasional AKAl or Grundig/Philips tape deck ruled the sound waves. Speakers had big woofers and thin directly soldered cables. Amps were Cosmic, Sonodyne, Philips, Nelco, Murphy , Norge, Arphi, Woodstock. HMV also had a nice amp and Enbee had a Quadraphonic model designed by Mr Nakra. So now MTV , which saw through The’s legends has also become history. Long live MTV.

when it was recently launched it was good music channel as well.

Yes Rikhav. When writing the above post I was wracking my mind to recall the ‘V’, but age 71 sometimes plays its tricks. There was an Indian lady (Sophie?)who was the anchor on many shows.
