What gear do you use? I am down to 7 cameras and 2 lenses from 10+ cameras and half a dozen lenses.

I strongly recommend you Audio Space and Consonance Opera. They have mono blocks as well as dual mono designs. I will be auditioning them as soon as I get some opportunity.

I have really simplified my Photography Gear. In hay days I was shooting with Nikon D7100 and with 5 odd lenses. Also, I had the good fortune to borrow Canon 5D Mark II, for demanding times.
Now I shoot with Sony NEX 3. I wish the lenses are nicer but the camera offers my needed portability.

I am done with the Amplifier! I needed a simple well constructed amp under 75K and that is what I got with Jolida. My next amp, if funds permit will be Devialet (read as winning lottery!). Otherwise Ncore amps with custom input stage.

I took the Oppo out to see the performance on the Living Room Sony TV and managed to make some pics

The last pic is with iPhone4 next to it (Oppo is a taller than regular players)

I suppose Oppo has it's own amplifier and you can directly connect your 5.1 speakers to it without routing them through AVR. If it is so then how's the performance of the player with 5.1 speakers?

Yes.. It can be connected to a Power amp directly (You still need a 5 channel power amp). I am using this only in Stereo mode

I have not yet tried with any headphones yet. I only have Sennheiser MM450 and I am planning to get LCD2 at some point of time. Once that happens, I will keep us posted.

Does it accept HDMI with DTSMA/ TruHD and decode the signals? I am trying to see if it can act as a player cum pre processor eventhough it has only one HDMI input.

Hi Santy.. I bought it from Avenue Sound, Mumbai - Locally at 95K INR.
It has two HDMI inputs and does decode HD audio and now DSD too!
I am yet to test DSD in my set up but it looks like this might beat the PCM and might take us closer to Analog sound!!

Just an update - Due to a forthcoming relocation, I am planning to downsize the system to keep the Toshiba TV and Tata Sky HD+ box and sell the rest of the set up in phases.
