My first piece of advice to everybody buying a LCD/LED/Plasma.....PLEASE READ "Checklist to avoid buying Demo Piece - LCD /Plasma Tv " THREAD FROM START TO END.

http://www.hifivision.com/television/6512-checklist-avoid-buying-demo-piece-lcd-plasma-tv.html

I purchased LG - 42LE5300 (Rs. 58,500) from YESBEE @ Double Road, on Tuesday and it was delivered to me immediately on the same evening. Immediately after looking at the packing, I thought something was fishy.....I found out few things that convinced me that it was a demo piece.
1. There was a lot of dust on the back of the monitor. (Wipe your finger and check)
2. The Product manual was all dusty
3. All the screws in the were put in an OPEN plastic bag.
4. Remote control was wrapped in Plastic Bag and the bag was all taped around with Cello Tape.
5. Few of the connectors were already connected to the Screen.
6. The Carton was not taped properly

Thankfully I had purchased it though one of my friend who directly deals with the dealer and negotiates prices for us. I got a new piece delivered yesterday, without any hassles.

The dealers version of the story was there was some kind of mix-up.
I am OK with giving him the benefit of the doubt.
However, It never hurts to have a little knowledge and do verification for yourself. This really helps

Coming back to the TV itselfI never thought I would get this piece for such a less price (I know lot of folks might have got it for less than this), But I am very poor at bargaining and after 1 month of search in lots of showrooms, this is the lowest price I could get.

The PQ just ROCKS. I am still connected to local cableand HD set top box setup not done yet.
Due to my balcony direction limitations, I have no choice but to go for AIRTEL. They had setup for my entire building.
1. Picture Quality is Amazing
2. This model comes with 100Hz TruMotion
3. Setup and other adjustments were very easy.
4. Plays most of the formats directly though USB (including MKV).
5. I can connect my Hard Drive directly to the TV (Some TVs only allow a Pen Drive to be connected)

For a person like me, who do not want too many hasssles in operating a TV and do not want to spend more money for some piece of technology that would make only 5% diff in PQ, this is the TV for you.

But a candid confession... When I was hunting for TV's the best in terms of pure PQ was Panasonic V20. Nothing came close to that .!!!

Also I am LG customer for 3-4 years now (TV, Washing MC, Fridge, Microwave), and never ever had a complaint regarding customer service.

Congrats Jimmy,I too have bought the same Tv a fortnight back and it rocks.(Should have bought 47 inches)
Nothing comes close to this TV.
Mine is a SUN HD and it's awesome, even the SD channels are great.
