my diy stands are in progress. the first image is my inspiration. i want to use this stands to place my heavy VINTAGE JBL Speakers L112.(http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/details/649015006-jbl_l112_speakers/images/475675/).
Still need painting and finishing. will update all images once everything is completed.

the support columns are 3"box column and the plate is 8mm thick.
placed 9.5mm holes on both top and bottom for M10 Spikes.
the welder suggested hot paint,it will give very good finish and long last.
the object heated to particular temp and paint applied by atom spray.will decide once hardware job completes.

not decided yet, but the speakers are very very heavy.may not needed.but will make holes on top for future filling.

Good design, good support, right height well suiting the speakers. Good construction, also the colour. The colour matches the driver cones well. I assume the speaker grills are also black. Would be nice if you can keep these beauties in a dim warm lighted place.
