My set up

Great.. Congrats

But it looks confusing to me.
Firstly using floorstanders as bookshelves is a kinda... cool  But they are too close to each other.
Secondly does the PJ screen cover the main speakers when pulled down?

Which PJ have you got? Not from Polk I guess....

AVR- Onkyo TX NR818 rest from Polk audio

congrats biswanath, the room decor especially the seating arrangement is great, really liked it.

assuming that you have polk DSW 550 / 660 sub I must caution you that it vibrates like anything (including changing its position) so either put some more weight or keep its volume control not more than 50 to 60%.

Also the FS speakers you have placed on top of the table, doesnt that raise the elevation of the sweet spot? ideally it should be at ear level where the ear is between the tweeter and woofer.

Thanks Santy,

I have no other space to put the floor standers. I have left it to the wonderful Audessey Multi XT-32 of Onkyo AVR to calibrate the position and size of the speakers. it is working for my room.

I am using BenQ WS710ST Short Throw projector. The PJ screen covers the floor standers but does not affect the sound quality very much....

Yes... Audessey XT32 is brilliant in measuring the speaker distance and adjusting their levels & the crossover for each speaker...

Also Onkyo TX NR 818 is a great AVR for both movies & music... Have you bi-amped your FS ?

Congrats on your setup. The seating arrangement and the background (last image) looks stunning.

However, I am little surprised to see the FS so high and then the centre seems to be too low. Shouldn't we keep the centre and fronts in the same level whether we use Audessey or not.

And doesn't the screen of the projector vibrates/ shakes when the FS are played?

A good setup ... congrats!

Just a piece of advice -

Put the Floorstanders and the Sub on the floor for God sake :)

The DSW series comes with it own room correction options like Corner, cupboard, etc to deal with these kind of placements. So he can continue but the vibrations is something that he must think of.

This is quite surprising though. The highs will be thoroughly subdued by the screen unless it is very porous.
I don't think Audessey can compensate for it.
I suggest to keep it on the extreme sides, on the floor and toe them in. There seems to be space just adequate for the floorstanders.
