Anyone here have any experience with the Neat Motive line of speakers? I recently heard a pair of Motive SX2s paired with a Unison Research hybrid amplifier (80w). I liked the sound but came away with the impression that they need more power. Anyone here have any experience with these? Would appreciate your thoughts on amplification needs. May well be that the amp I heard them with isn't really 80w or that the amp is fine but these speakers just don't go that loud in a large room

I had a very limited experience with the Neat Motive SX1 (not the SX2), it's character is more of musical in nature rather than delivering ultra crisp details at high SPL level. I heard it with Exposure Pre/Power, which is rated around 110W but I never felt that it can't to loud, I maybe wrong though because I listened at medium volume.

I have Neat SX2 paired with Naim 5si since 2019 for my stereo setup in my living room
Initially felt treble harshness, thought Naim amp or SX2 tweeters to be that way.
But with time, break in of speaker and amp n subsequently upgrading to Naim NAC A5 speaker cables and Mogami 2803 RCA interconnect , all issues seems to get sorted out.
The setup sounds very musical with sufficient stereo seperation and dynamic range. Special about the speakers is musical bass which u do not expect with such small footprint speakers.
Naim amp has been sufficient to power these and i hardly go above 40 for listening purposes
