Need good advice from people who know

A few weeks ago I set out to buy a home cinama system I went and looked at Bose t10 and t20 as everyone who knows nothing knows Bose. I can buy these for between 1200 and 1700. I thought before I buy I would start to read and now I think it would be a wast of good money. This is what I'm thinking of buying now for the same money,can anyone tell me if it's a good choise mostly for home cinema but also music.
Onkyo tx-nr616 amp Polk ts300 floor speakers Polk rti a1 bookshelf speakers Polk cs10 center and Polk psw110 sub. All this for 1300 new
Am I getting the most for my money or can I do better?

Well the Onkyo TX NR616 is amazing for sure. But TSi300 and PSW110 may be doing injustice to the AVR you plan to buy. You could go for RTiA5 for the fronts and a better sub.

anything but BOSE..............please do not buy Bose!!! you can get better sound for much lower price. Even if price is not a constraint I would still not recommend BOSE!!!
