Hi members!!! I have a Nakamichi AV 10 for quite some years, and enjoyed its clear instrumental sound while playing vinyl. Lately I am getting loud volume sound as if the volume knob is set at 12’oclock, though it is on 0 volume. I normally start from zero volume and and increase the volume to the 9’oclock position maximum. Please note that I do not have the remote for this AVR. Am afraid that with this sudden burst my speakers may get damage, though it does have a safety circuit device.
I tried cleaning the potentiometer but the result is just the same. Can any of the forum members throw some light on this issue please?
