Need speaker system

Freinds,

needs simple speaker system for home use...

source will be my samsung smartphone(3.5mm jack) or Any media player..(Himedia in mind).

does the IPHONE accessory speaker systems will do for my requirement?

my budget is not more than 5 to 6 k and should be portable...main usage if for music...ocassionally for tv tooo...
