Have Come up with foll Config for my New Desktop:

Proc: AMD 1100T
Mobo: Which One is Best for the AMD proc?(Suggestions Pls)
Ram: 4Gb
HDD: 1 TB
DVD Writer: Sony (No bluray as I do not plan to get into blurays)
SMPS: Coolermaster 350W
Keyboard/Mouse : Logitech or Microsoft wireless
Monitor: Benq E2200 HD or G2222 HDL (Any idea which 1 is better?)

So yea, would really appreciate comments on the config, ideas for the right motherboard & whether the config is good for another 3-4 yrs

Main usage is for doing office work, surfing, play games sometimes & watch movies.

Am going in for AMD for the 1st time, hence would like some views of AMD from current users.

FYI: going for AMD 1100T as currently top proc compared to intels i7 (only cheaper in price)

Await feed back from Computer Geeks:eek:hyeah:

Thanks:)

Did some research on google & found these 2 Mobo's to be a good pairing with the AMD1100T Proc.

1) Msi 890FXA-GD70

2) Gigabyte GA-890FXA-VD5

Any ideas computer experts???

No replies as yet - No AMD users in our forum???

for office work : 2 cores are more than enough
for surfing : 2 cores are more than enough
for occasional gaming: 2 cores with high clock rate is better than a lower clocked hexacore (1100T) also the graphics card plays an important role
for Movies: AnAMD athlon II X 2 is more than enough as all the heavy video decoding work will be done by 890 chipset

My opinion,
If you are gaming at low resolutions (1024x768 or less) go for Athlon II x 2, 3, 4 processors. will save a great deal of money
if you are gaming at high resolutions (1360x768 or high) go for Phenom II x 2, and spend the money saved on a decent graphics card.
For all other purpose like movies, office and surfing, the onboard graphics card is more than enough
