No on screen display marantz 6005 setup

I have just bought Marantz SR6005. I have a Mit HD1000 projector 720p. When I try to setup my receiver i do not get On screen display. I have tried everything like changing the input mode in the receiver to the projector input mode. What could be the problem. My local supplier says that the out put will come only on full HD projector through HDMI connection . However point to note is that both HDMI and component connections output of my projector are not working. I can only use the video output of my projector to connect to video input of the receiver.

i have the same AVR, i cant, however understand your question. if you could word it differently, maybe i would be able to help you

I think shenil is having problems with the GUI/On Screen display. As per my cursory reading of the product specs it says that GUI /On screen display of the controls is possible only over HDMI. Further, I assume you must begetting picture through the composite input.

For most of the AVRs the GUI is through HDMI only.
