No Tata sky hd in chennai?

i just go my tv yesterday and i wanted to watch hd television content on it but it seems that noone has stock i even called tatasky ,who explained to me all the plans of tata sky hd but when i disclosed my location to them said that i am better of buying hd stb from some other provider as they are aldready on backorder and i can only get the hd stb if i wait till jan(which i dont want to do).So to all the folks living in chennai if you know of any place selling tatasky hd stbs please do a pm or make a post :clapping: if anyone working for tata sky is here please do post the reason for this lack of availability of hd stbs in chennai:sad:

I called them ten days back and they said that you could place an order on the telephone and that it is usually faster than the stores/online method.

Same case in Bangalore, looks like they dont have hd boxes available as of now. The reason given to me in October was that they didnt expect such demand but then its already Dec....

Also a little birdie told me that altogether a new box is coming in and it will have more features, i wonder what ... , whatever i hope it comes before New Year or else am gonna go with Airtel HD for my HDTV and maybe even disconnect my existing Tatasky on the CRT TV ...

hey i called up tatasky CC in Oct 2010 and they TS HD is not available in my location, so i gave my office location and they said the box would be delivered in my office. When the box came to chennai from Mumbai they called me up and said we are ready to do the installation and i requested a change of address and they did it my home. Just try it out if it work for you.

i also heard about the new boxes from a store he said that 2 lakh hd stbs were coming to tamil nadu

From what I heard (from a local store in Velachery), TataSky is planning to launch their HD+ (Record/rewind on HD) box... so I guess it's worth the wait!

I heard some rumours that the new box would be around 10k+ because it would come with a bigger hard drive (to support HD recording).

I was also scouting for a HD STB for me last week. This is the official (if I may call it so) update from the distributor of Coimbatore. STB is not available across India as TS is planning to launch a PVR+HD combo box pretty soon and hence has stopped manufacturing the older HD boxes. The box is not even available for premium across TN as of now. The distributor has received an update from TS that the boxes will be shipped before Jan 1 to cash in the new year sale season. Fingers crossed as of now.

I went to reliance digital in NCR region yesterday and Tata Sky HD was available OTC.
