While going through the CA speaker write-ups on the web, found that the impedance mentioned is '4-8' ohms.

In one write-up it was mentioned that it is 8 ohms when standard, and gets halved on doubling the number of speakers. Now, what does that mean?

Does it mean, it is 8 ohms when considering 1 speaker, while it is 4 ohms when it is a pair????

If two 8 ohm speakers are connected in series, impedance would be 16 ohm. If these speakers are connected in parallel, impedance would become 4 ohm.
