I had come across on several sites box sets of albums going cheap. On investigation I found that this was an effort (I think spearheaded by the Rhino label) to re-introduce great bands & artists of the past to a new audience.
This is being done in sets called Original Album Series. Please search for this on Amazon (where they are really cheap) & on Flipkart (not so cheap).
Each set is for an artist & contains 4 to 5 great albums at a really cheap price. Even on Flipkart they are well worth the price. The albums being offered are not some b-grade material - they include some of the great defining albums of the past. This series covers almost all genres of music including Jazz, Rock (in all flavors), Country, Pop, Blues etc.
