Hello Members,

Have been facing this issue lately where the output sound from the speakers are too low with the following connection:-

- Laptop -->>TV (Via Amazon Basics HDMI)-->>AVR(Marantz NR1607 via amazon basics toslink opticle cable.)

Is there any setting that I am missing?

Have to crank up the volume to 75-80 level to get to a decent sound level.

The sound level is perfect when the source is pioneer BDP/Bluetooth and have the issue only when I route the TV sound to AVR through an optical cable.

Please advise how can this be fixed.

Also, please suggest how can I connect my laptop to the receiver for music as I have a music dump out there.

Suggestion highly appreciated.

Reveiver : Marantz NR1607, Front : Dali Zensor 3,Center : Dali Vocal, Sub : Dali E12F, Pioneer BDP180

TV is the culprit. Connect laptop to AVR and AVR to TV via hdmi. It will work for sure

How do you find your Dali Zensor 3 ? Did you compare with any other speakers?
Thanks.

Hello Fantastic,

Its been 5 months with these beauties. Absolutely bang for bucks. 7" driver provides enough bass.

had compared it with Polk Audio RTI3 and wharfadale 225.

Wharfy was a bit laid back and polk too forward. dali z3 had a decent balance and hence the choice.

Happy till date. :)

No rocket science here. You have already connected bdp to AVR. In same way, connect laptop to AVR via HDMI cable. Then connect HDMI out of AVR to HDMI port on TV via another HDMI cable.

All sources connect to AVR and AVR connect to TV for the picture.

Refer to manual of AVR for further instructions

Hi Kumar,
Thanks for your reply. That note on Wharfedale is interesting. I haven't heard either but did hear that the Wharfedale 225 is laid back and 'warm'. Would actually like to hear the Zensor3 myself. I have some nice test tracks I'd like to hear on them.
Thanks,
Cheers.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
