Croma is offering PANASONIC TH-49EX480DX 124CM (49INCH) 4K LED SMART TV at 58,030? Do you think it is a good buy? I am thinking of buying one.

Also is it feasible to just buy a Full HD TV rather than a 4k TV>?

The viewing distance for me is 10 feet?

Look at ur resources first and then decide plz.Here in India,I think a full HDTV is more than enogh in most of the situations if not always.

4K content is increasing though slowly. If you want future proof go for 4K.

I purchased the Panasonic 124.5 cm (49 inches) Viera TH-49EX600D 4K UHD LED TV (Black) from Vijay Sales at 68000 and two years additional warranty as 4837.

I am yet to get the delivery. Will post some screenshots once I get the same.

1. The picture quality is simply outstanding. I played some 4k videos from Youtube and it was simply breath taking. For SD content, the picture blurs. I have a regular SD set top box. Once I upgrade to a HD set top box, I bet it will look awesome.
2. The TV is slim and looks good.
3. It has both Netflix and Amazon Prime apps pre-installed. If you don't see amazon Prime, just update the software and you will see it. It has some other apps as well, but there two apps will take care of most of your needs. The content looks awesome.
4. The box contains both table and wall mount stand. However, the Panasonic technician who came to install the TV said that they are not wall mounting the 4k series as of now, due to some issue with the back panel. They are going to verify if it can be wall mounted or not.

Thanks for the quick review and sharing the pics, I'm sure you would be loving it. SD content will be further degraded on a 4K, as it has to upscale the content multiple times. 4K and HD (1080p) videos will look awesome.

Yet I think U should have opted for at least a 55 incher for a 4K if not the 65".
My panny is brilliant given the right content.But Around 2 TB of video content stored on my external hard disk is just somewhat O.K.Most of them being 4-7 gb files but not producing good picture.
Thats why I talked about resources.I go t just one video of 27 minutes of true hd of around 1.75 gb which looked very good on my panny and that was the moment when I thought I made the right decision for the time being.Neverthless the panny is a brilliant performer along with very good sound as mine is a 35 watts with woofer.And its extra bright no doubt about that.

I didn't go for the 55 inches as it was costly and the cost was going beyond 1 lakhs. The one I purchased was on offer on Vijay Sales and hence I changed my mind from purchasing a full HD to a 4k

I am thoroughly enjoying watching Netflix, Amazon Prime, Youtube HD videos. It seems that you are watching something real.

I downloaded the movie Dunkirk which was around 3 GB and watched it. It was just a fabulous experience.

I had bought 49 E 400 D last Diwali. So far no problem. My impressions are in the link

I got cash back from Panasonic, no interest EMI and also cashback from Sargam Electronics in Delhi. It worked out to 35000 only in total.

Pl get extended warranty. Since company extended warranty rates were very high, I got three years additional warranty from the dealer Sargam Electronics (has chain of 30 plus stores in Delhi NCR)covering full set.
