Hi
I'm planning to upgrade my Paradigm monitor 9s to the new Prestige 75f which look good on paper and in reviews. The speakers will be connected to a Denon AVR x2200w. Does anyone have any experience or any information on this line. Any inputs welcome

Thanks

Sunny

audition first..

check if it really makes a difference or would you rather look at room acoustics ?

Cabinet? If you have your speakers inside a cabinet, that's the source of the problem. Speakers need space around them. Changing the speakers may not help very much.
Let us have a picture of the cabinet.

if you are a movie guy... look for a pair of good standmounts - maybe from Paradigm itself.

Looking at the pic - i am not sure what improvements you will get by spending more money on " better " floorstanders.

or maybe a better sub - from paradigm ??

regards

Unfortunately you have a difficult space there. Any options to reorient the system? Different wall maybe?

no speaker upgrade will help in current placement.
save your money and look for ways to move the speakers out from jail they are in

I agree. There is no breathing space for the floor standers and the centre speaker is set vertical. The paradigm's you have currently are excellent speakers. Just moving them out of the corners should improve the sound big time.

I just got a new Paradigm Center 1 for my setup. They sound so much better now and more uniform.

nice to know..

work on integrating what you have and you should get much better performance from your existing rig itself.

Just realised that I probably did the right thing sticking with my existing setup was planning to upgrade to the Paradigm Prestige 7f but that would also mean investing in a better avr. My DENON 2200 would probably not do justice to it. At the end of it would have resulted in a 3.5 lakh and above investment. Not worth it at this point. My existing setup sounds pretty nice. Probably will upgrade to a 4k tv:)

I am also looking at Paradigm prestige 75F. What is the best price and where can i buy them
they will be driven by Anthem MRX 720

Setup, placement of speakers and adequate attention to acoustic parameters in the listening environment is key to getting optimum audio performance from a pair of speakers. From the photograph you have posted, I can see that even the basic principles have not been adhered to. Do not waste money on new loudspeakers. I am not sure what you will gain.

A guide to some basics and advanced methods.

Hi Raj. The lowest quote I got for the 75f is from Sound Out at Mumbai for 2,10,000 approx. Wow. The anthem is the right amp to drive it too.
